For our 40th anniversary, our beloved historical characters return in their signature look with accessories and a book, plus packaging inspired by the original box design. Generous Samantha Parkington shares her good fortune with others in need while growing up in New York in 1904. Samantha was released in 1986, one of the first eight dolls introduced by Pleasant Company, now American Girl.Premium has:
- An 18" Samantha™ doll in a burgundy, brown, and ivory checked taffeta dress with a pleated front, puff sleeves, and a burgundy ribbon belt with a buckle at the waist
- She has brown eyes and dark-brown wavy hair with bangs and styled half up with a bow. She has a soft cotton body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl.
- A Samantha’s Keepsake Guide paperback book, showing some of Samantha’s first products made by Pleasant Company in 1986, scenes and settings of Samantha’s favorite places, educational material, and peeks into the past highlighting what it was like to live in the early 1900s
